  1. Don’t bother signing up with AdToll if you’re site’s Alexa ranking is not under 100,000. Yeah, you read that right, the geniuses at AdToll will not approve any sites that do not have an Alexa ranking over 100,000.

    Haven’t these “marketing gurus” realized that Alexa rankings are *only* counted if a visitor to a website has the Alexa toolbar installed. Additionally, everyone knows Alexa has not been functioning correctly for several months now. Although compete.com is a more accurate representation of a site’s traffic, in reality, no third-party traffic analysis platform can adequately track 100% of all traffic to a particular website.

    AdToll’s generic reliance on Alexa rankings only shows they’re an amateur operation and should be avoided by publishers.

  2. You can also add Viralytics to this list. However, they may not be as good as these top 6. They have somewhat annoying blinky ads that drive users crazy.
