Until now everything was fine. Hyperlinks and other links are shown on websites to help you visit additional websites, ads etc. But Stop! link clicking may lead you into a big trouble- the reason in Clickjacking. After Monster.com security breach click jacking is a new threat to you data.
Clickjacking or (Click Hijacking) is a way in which hijackers camouflage links which may look friendly to you. But in turn when you click them some malicious scripts are installed which store all your information.
But to make matter worse a new security finding has disclosed that Google Chrome & Firefox are both open to Clickjacking. This has also been admitted by Aditya K Sood (the SecNiche security researcher ) who is currently working with this flaw:
Sood Writes:
The Google chrome browser is vulnerable to clickjacking flaw.A clickjacked page tricks a user into performing undesired actions by clicking on a concealed link. attackers can trick users into performing actions which the sers never intended to do and there is no way of tracing such actions later, as the user was genuinely authenticated on the other page.
While Sood has only disclosed his findings for Google Chrome, Zdnet has also claimed that Firefox is also vulnerable to Clickjacking, which is quite alarming. Also Google has officially admitted that Chrome is open to ClickJacking! So next time you click any link be sure that you are not ClickJacked!
