The dreamspark program launched by former chief and founder of Microsoft Bill Gates aims to technically excel tech students of colleges in India. This is a direct challenge to the Ubuntu makers who aimed free OS against Microsoft Windows.
Now with Microsoft coming up with free software packages there is ample opportunities for students to learn.To collect your free software:
1. Visit the Microsoft program partners like NIIT, Aptech and Hughes Net Fusion Centers – Simply show your college identity card and collect your free DVD containing the Microsoft software.
2. If you prefer the online way – Visit dreamspark.com, sign in with your Windows Live ID and get verified as a student to download them.
Both Graduate and Under Graduate students are eligible to receive these freebies from Microsoft.
