Tomorrow(22nd July, 2009) will be a special day for Asians as they witness a total eclipse of the Sun. The path of the Moon’s umbral shadow begins in India and crosses through Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and China.
After leaving Asia, the path crosses Japan’s Ryukyu Islands and curves southeast through the Pacific Ocean where the maximum duration of totality reaches 6 min 39 s.
But there are some precautions you must follow to view it safely:
1. Do not view sun directly as bright rays may effect your vision.
2. Use special glasses meant for this purpose.
3. View through a pin hole only.
